I rated a fair few people on and off over the weekend, K. I know that's no substitute for long-term activity, but I was kinda hoping for a little more to be honest.

I still find Ciao too clique-y

I can't read what I want to read it seems I have to read what those who are active read in order to get rated back. And I have to go into far more history and factual guff than elsewhere.

Ciao was always my number 1 but I really can't get on with i now!

Well... I do have to say that I'm still siding with the "crap" perspective, to be honest. I think my reasons have changed for thinking it's guff, but it's still guff. IMO.

If someone wrote a mobile phone review on the basis of a day's use you'd be justified in saying 'give it more time'. Don't dismiss Ciao too quickly.

Mind you, if you go at it with the attitude 'I wonder how long it'll take them to kick me off again' it could be argued that you're not entirely open minded.

Personally - and from the perspective of a very lazy Ciao member who doesn't participate too much - I quite like you being around and stirring things up. People can get a bit too precious sometimes.

But, K, the last time I was active at all, I got kicked after three ratings. Three. The one that apparently caused all the grief was, as I've said, on a review of a mobile phone where the author didn't use it to make calls or send texts. Then they invented other things that I supposedly did, that couldn't possibly have happened, as I'd not even logged in during the previous six months. You'll forgive me if I don't think there are/were shenanigans afoot at Ciao HQ.

Well I'll see what the PF has in store for me this month (if it hasn't already been given out). But as things stand I've been back on both sites for six weeks and have earnt over £60 from dooyoo compared to a measly £8 from Ciao. At the moment Dooyoo's winning hands down but we'll see.

Premium fund was distributed today in case you did not already see it.

Yep I saw it, didn't do too bad (£19) so I'll keep on posting there, but I still prefer Dooyoo where I know which review has been rewarded and I still earn more on average per review.

Well I am giving it a go. It is ok but the layout is dreadful, the ratings buttons are almost hidden and it is more chock full of ads than I remember

Is that July's PF or August's? I'm assuming July's and therefore of no interest to me.

Germany's on holiday.
Most of Europe's on holiday

I think that's why Ciao suggestions are taking longer.

£2.00, from two reviews. Sigh.

I got £7 from 3 reviews, last month I got £15 from three reviews, they had the same amount of reads more or less. It does seem a bit of a mystery, but I have always found it pays better than dooyoo review for review.

I got £2 for one review but last month I got £10 for my one review - whoo hoo!

I've made slightly more per review on Dooyoo, but I didn't cross-post some of my early very poor reviews so it's not really comparing like with like.

I posted 3 reviews in July, got £10 off the PF, and also the £7 for my 'Short and Good' review....so quite happy about that Smile

Well the stupid "ran out of E's" thing is still very annoying although the standard is not too bad, certainly no worse than dooyoo since the payment changes. Have you always been able to add individual rides from fairs though? Weird.

Dooyoo does the individual rides in fairs too, I think it is a bad idea.

I think it is an example of when dooyoo could exercise better control over categories. I am not surprised that people would write about individual rides but some personal responsibility would mean I would not do so myself as I don't think it is helpful to consumers. I might want to read a couple of reviews on Thorpe Park before I go there, I don't want to wade through reviews of every ride individually.
