| Has anyone else read this? http://www.ciao.co.uk/specials/weekly_prizesNot sure what to make of it, but it sounds to me like they're going to be rewarding churn by giving people more entries into a draw....I suppose all will be revealed in due course. the prizes sound nice though... | |

| It's not at all clear is it? Is it an entry per op or just per person who writes? Usual Ciao transparency! | |

| Per op is what I read it as...which is why I think that those who churn probably stand more of a chance.
But hey, I could be wrong - we'll see on the 8th!

| That's a good sum....but on this thread I was talking about the weekly prizes (competition in September), not the Premium fund. | |

| It does seem a bit mean, have you upset someone at Ciao Towers then?
I got £2 on one review with 25 member reads and 60 non member.

| Getting back to the original topic, what do people think of the September weekly prizes? It's been nice to see some familiar names on the list and some of the prizes really do look like they're worth winning. | |

| pardon me for being ignorant here, but are weekly prizes different from product of the week, which was always about food.....(or other mindlessly unimportant items) | |

| The weekly prizes are random, raffle like prizes - I think you just have to write a review to be entered. | |

| Today's the day they announce the winers, I live in hope. Good to see familiar names winning the prizes over the past two weeks. | |

| Yes, completely different. They are a random raffle for September only.
It's all in the link. | |

| One of the winners this week has churned out 32 reviews in the last week and has rated 4 in return..... | |

| I thought you weren't allowed to name people? It's obvious mary is complaining about xxxxxxx. Although she fails to mention that another winner has only written 4 reviews altogether.
(Sorry Terri, but I agree that this is naming - I had no idea who it was either).

| Actually it looks to me like YOU just named her - I certainly had no idea who Mary was talking about and she didn't name anyone. | |

| I hadn't noticed that another winner had only written 4 reviews, that is equally as annoying. The person who churned just stuck out for me since I have noticed that their reviews have been making it difficult to spot the reviews from members that I actually wanted to read! There are some deserving winners too though!
Sorry if I was being too specific (I will avoid that in the future Terry)...I should have just said that a prolific churner has been rewarded rather than being specific with numbers (which will change tomorrow anyway).

| It didn't take much looking, there is only a list of 10 people so it was obvious who marymoose99 was talking about.
Its Terry BTW mattygroves, I'm a man not a woman

| Hello. So that this discussion does not get sidetracked, there's a thread in Forum HQ about naming and shaming started by Camp Freddy, should you want to get involved: https://reviewers.forumotion.net/all-about-the-forum-f1/naming-and-shaming-t34.htmWhile marymoose's post might fall under the N&S rules (and you guys can decide if it is or not) by singling out one member from a small shortlist, I believe the intention was not to discuss the member but rather the reward policy on Ciao and as no name was mentioned, we were happy to let it slide. Direct naming of non-members is a definite no-no though. And now back on topic... | |
